I purchased an OtterBox Commuter Case for a Blackberry Torch 9800 about 2 months ago and was very pleased with it. My phone really looked secure while covered by it and also looked really good instead of the other type of cases which make the phone really bulky to fit in my pocket.
However after a month and a half later the front part of the case snapped and it really was of no use at all. I had every intention to just forget about it and go back to my Capdase Smart pocket.
Somehow I still decided that I needed to get my money’s worth so I tried to find a way to contact whoever can accommodate the warranty (I was not even sure if they gave a warranty since I bought my case in Digital Walker and not directly from OtterBox). I just went to their website to find an email address that I can send a message to.
I’ve had my fair share of a customer service representatives ignoring me in situations like this so I was not that optimistic. Which is why I was really surprised on how smoothly our conversation went. (Just exchange of emails, not even IM)
The representative just asked me details about the Case and my address and in just a matter of 2 weeks..
It came through mail, and I even get to keep the old one as a souvenir.
This awesome service instantly made me an OtterBox fanboy! haha
