Spas have never really been my thing. Don’t get me wrong, I really (really) like to laze around all day and be relaxed but the thought of being in a place with “nature-ish” BGM, dim lights, cotton robes, disposable underwear(!), people in rubber slippers while wearing socks and a prominent scent of mint kind of set me off just a bit to be honest.
So when I got invited to this event at Zenyu Eco Spa, I waited until midnight prior to the actual event before I finally decided to go. I just thought, why not?
I guess I can say that I made the right decision to go because it was a wonderful experience.
Zenyu Eco Spa is a service offered by a newly constructed Hotel H2O located at Manila Ocean Park. It is the first the themed hotel in the country and also the first one to have a Spa that utilizes Japanese Technology called Negative Ions.
Negative Ions – are molecular elements, almost invisible to the naked aye which are tasteless and odorless and are very abundant in natural areas such as mountains, beaches and other pure places that you can think of.
Everytime you go to these places, you can notice a sudden change in your mood right? You feel much more relaxed and way more sane than while you were in the 34th floor of your office building and in front of your computer. This is because negative ions are said to give out biochemical reactions which in turn are able to increase mood chemical serotonin levels. This helps lower depression, decrease stress levels, and provide daytime energy. The reason why there is less or even no Negative Ions in our home or office is because of Sick Building Syndrome which basically pertains to the areas that we stay in which are not “natural enough” and therefore no Negative Ions are produced.
Zenyu Eco spa is a facility carefully treated in order to be abundant in Negative Ions which makes anyone experience in only a few minutes of travel the feel of the mountains and beaches which will normally take ours or even days to got to.
Some of the services in the Zenyu Eco spa that will let you experience a rich supply of Negative Ions are the Deoxidation Rejuvenation Centers or Hot Beds, which are like more relaxing and healthier versions of Saunas, a pool wgich contains fishes that help in body cleansing and of course, full-body massages.
Another great thing about Zenyu Eco spa is that they have products that are treated with Negative Ions so that you may have them with you even after leaving the spa.
Products like pillows, shawls, bottles and even Pirikare Powder which will enable you to treat your own water or even other types of food with Negative Ions. A single gram of Pirikare Powder will be able to treat 10 gallons of water with Negative Ions.
There is also this drink that was extracted from Hawthorne Berries and then placed inside a pail that has Negative Ions in it(pail can also be bought in the spa). Tastes like wine with all its “Negative-Ion-Goodness”
Zenyu Eco spa will be an experience like never before. It really diminished all of my negative thoughts towards spas. Those negative thoughts are now turned into Negative Ions!
